As I write this, its Sunday morning. I was drifting off thinking about Sunday morning in Mayberry. I was thinking of the Taylors up and getting around, readying themselves to go to church. Andy getting the envelop ready for the collection. Bee phoning Clara to say they'll pick her up on the way. Barney too is up and at em'. One more quick stop at the Courthouse on his way over to preachin'. Otis is rousing with a head pounding, and a few regrets, but I expect he'll get over it! Gomer is rolling out, he'll go down to the station later on for a few hours. Goober will soon be up washing his car, then out on the lake on his boat. Floyd is relaxing in his robe, reading the paper. The church bell is ringing.....somewhere the smell of chicken frying is drifting in the cool fall air. All is well in Mayberry this morning. Have I told you about scenes that would be hard to film? Judy, that's a good one. Here are a couple that come to mind: Any scene where Barney is addressing prisoners! "Now men, here at the rock...." Then there is Barney addressing the three deputies being sworn in for Founders Day when the Guest of Honor is in town.....he's lecturing Floyd, Art, and Sam, calling them by their badge number. Of course his gun goes off! Well actually, just about any scene with Don Knotts....he was so dog-gone funny. Hey...ya'll have a great Sunday. Dennis Boy Giraffes Are Selfish....
