I have a question that's been preyin' on my mind. In the episode where the gangster is in Barney's apartment and puts knock-out drops in the milk, I noticed a huge "something" on top of the refrigerator. What is that??? I can't even imagine. Thanks! That huge thing on top of the refrigerator is the electric motor, that's the way they were made back in the 1930's-40's, then they changed them concealing the motors in the bottom. I've read that some experts say that the old design (with motor on the top) was actually a better design because all of the heat generated by the motor escaped from the top (instead of being underneath the fridge the way they are now)....
