Dear kind gentle voters:

Why does Pike avoid the arena of public debate.
What does Pike have to hide? One wonders.

In response to the farm issue recently brought up.
The Mayor of Mayberry has no control over the farming
policies in our fair county.
As far as truck farmers selling their produce within the
city limits, there is a city ordinance restricting such sales
without a permit. County farmers can apply for a permit
at the Sheriff's office. Deputy Fife is in charge of
issuing permits and collecting the fees for the city coffers.
The farmers have had ample rain this season and there
shall be a rich harvest for our stewardesses of the land.
Farmer Johnson's barn was just painted in a beautiful red
coat of oil based paint. It is a lovely barn. However, it is
outside the city limits and does not concern city affairs.
I would urge voters to focus on the issues that concern our
lovely city.
I have never knowingly let the "devil's delight--alcohol" pass
my lips. There was that one time that some unknown criminal
spiked the water crock at the jail house and I was a victim
of that act. I hasten to add that I successfully completed
a stint in rehab over that incident and now only drink
water from the tap or hose, depending on if I'm indoors or out.
We need strong, decisive leadership at the top. I am that
man. I will continue to have the sheriff and his deputy
run those moonshiners, brick throwers, cattle
rustling drunkards, drummers and beatniks out of our
fair city and maintain the peace and serenity that makes
our community a delightful place to live and raise a family.
I have spoken.
Pike speaks volumes by his silence.
Thank you for your support.
Mayor Stoner
