Gomer did not take any money for working on the business man's Lincoln Continental because Gomer considered it a privaledge to work on such a fine car which was unseen in a little town of Mayberry, NC. The man had a change of heart and said it was not running right just so Gomer would take it back to the shop and He could stay a little while longer to slow down and relax in Mayberry and soke up some of the local hospitality and small town way of life that ALL of us miss and want to go back to. You-all know that Gomer never let anything bother him. He would get over it just like that and move on to something else. I think we all could learn a leason from Gomer's good natured atitude. Lot of Lifes Leasons in that there show. As a matter of fact. I had the opportunity to go to Mt. Airy, (Mayberry) this past Saturday and enjoy one of those scrumpchously delicious porkchop sammiches.
