Hi Friends

I've been away for a few days and just catching up. I emailed Ken immediately upon return and think his "books for the troops" idea is a wonderful thing.

Reflecting on Leon wandering the town....I thought of Andy and Barney at the dinner table one evening, Opie in a rush to return to his pals....(I think this is the Opie and his Merry Men episode) and as Opie leaves, Andy remarks "Daylight is precious when you're to a youngin" (that's close if not exact), but I thought about how true that statement is. It was for me. As a kid growing up on the farm, especially in the summer, you wanted to stay out there enjoying evening as long as you could. I too remember coming into town--especially during wheat harvest--and getting a bottle of pop before returning to the field--my, what a treat that was! How times have changed.

Every hour of every day is precious. Specially those we spend with our friends in Mayberry.
See ya round town. Wouldn't an ice cold Nectarine Crush hit the spot?
