I recall one of my big thrills as a child was to ride in the bed of my Dad's pickup truck. My brother and I had to sit down of course but then when I saw the Darlins coming into Mayberry STANDING up... and nobody thought anything of it. It looked like fun...and Andy had no problem with it ! golllllly ! We have so many rules and laws for our *protection* yet people have accidents anyways. (sigh) oh for simpler times.
