I'm sure there'll be a ton of replies to this one, but Cousin Virgil was played by Michael J. Pollard. He was a pretty busy actor back in the late 60s - early 70s, not only did he do TAGS and Star Trek (the episode "Miri" as the charachter Jahn), but he was in the movie 'Bonnie and Clyde' with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. He was also in the Bill Murray Christmas movie 'Scrooged'. He hasn't been very busy lately, I don't believe, since he'd made quite a career playing shy, likeable, awkward characters.
