Citizens of Mayberry: It has come to my attention that certain accusations of collusion with my brother-in-law concerning the overpass on the Silar City highway overpass and the purchase of land by some of my dear family members near that location have surfaced.
I would like to point out that former mayor Pike and his cronies are most probably behind these malicious falsehoods. I have divested myself of all interests in these properties, having turned them into a blind trust managed by Stoner Fidelity Bank and Loan. I hope this will bring to an end the scurrilous accusations and innuendo that have plagued my administration these past few months since my dear wife went to visit her niece in Raleigh. I thank you and wish to remind you to vote STONER for strong fiscal government.
