My take on Mr. Schwamp's pocket is a fountain pen and his reading glasses. If you recall the episode in season #6 where they purchased a new organ for the church, Mr. Schwamp is sitting in the front row right behind the organ and he is wearing his reading glasses whilst singing a hymn. I've been doin' the same thing since I was about 35, so I sympathize with Mr. Schwamp. That might be a reason he never quite gets his toupe on straight--he's not wearing his glasses when he puts it on in the morning.
