Hello Good Residents of Mayberry, I wanted to further add some mental meanderings to my "Agent Schwamp" theory....maybe he had a bug in his rug! This could be why, 1) rumors spread so fast in Mayberry 2) Andy was dead set against tape recorders 3) You never see our Undercover Schwamp in the barber shop! (Floyd would have blow his cover big time and/or cut a wire right quick!) Think about it! 4) Mr. Schwamp never hung out much with "Blabbermouth Barney"...."hey, Sarah guess what!?!?!
Speaking of electronical marvels....I think it would have been really funny if Opie and his mischievous buddy talked through walkie talkies and make Mr. Schwamp talk instead of the dog.
