Hey, Ken, in regard to your theory about Leon Schwump - I think your cider's gone hard!
Personally, I subscribe to the Schwump Conspiracy Theory (SCT). Under the SCT, many odd Mayberry happenings can be explained away. The Theory claims that Mr. Schwump was actually an alien whose ship crashed into Myer's Lake. Radiation leaking from the ship caused the lake fish to be of unusual proporations (i.e. Old Sam). Mr. Schwump never talked because his "audio communicator" could handle English all right, but it made him sound like he was from Boston's Back Bay and he didn't want to stand out . But the biggest proof of all was offered when Opie and Arnold discovered Mr. Schwump's secret and put it in their newspaper. Why do you think everyone was so frantic about getting all those copies back?? It was a conspiracy.
