Oh, I just thought of another time that Barney was right. When Charlene did the ritual and incantation to divorce Dud Wash and the family was trying to force Andy to marry her, Barney came up with the idea of using mountain folklore to get Andy out of it. Andy didn't want to have anything to do with it, but Barney insisted, and his black rider on a white horse saved Andy from marrying Charlene. Barney was right!
