Hi Everyone,
I have been getting this digest for a long time now. I really enjoy
reading it. This is the
first time I am writing. I grew up watching the show. Barney has always been
my favorite.
I live in Nevada. I am wondering if there are any other fans out West.? It
seems that the
people that write in regularly are all from the East. I grew up in Southern
California. I
didn't live far from the studio. I actually saw Barney one day while I was
out shopping, but
I was just a kid then. I didn't occur to me to speak to him, but he smiled at
me.
I recently bought the sheet music for the theme song. I know it was done with
whistling
on the show, but I play the flute. Now, if I am feeling down, I play it on
the flute. It puts
a smile on my face every time! I wish I lived closer to Mt. Airy. I would
love to attend
Mayberry Days.
