A face in the crowd was an outstanding performance by not just Andy but
everyone involved. Patricia Neal was excellent in her portrayal of the
founder and downfall of Lonesome Rhodes. Andy's performance did not pain me,
but I think it did indeed "show the actor of the man". Andy sure did a great
job refinishing the black Martin guitar in that movie. The reincarnation of
it on TAGS did not even resemble it at all. Of course, the movie folks
probably painted it black just for the movie.

Another performance by Andy that was very unlike Andy Taylor was his role in
"Murder in Coweta County" with Johnny and June Carter Cash. He played a
racist murderer, who did not understand how everyone was so upset at killing
a black man.
