I've fallen behind recently in reading the digest, and apologize for chiming in a little late about the topic of the movie "Waitress," but I saw the film last weekend and loved it. Andy Griffith is phenomenal in his supporting role. While his character is a bit more brusque than even the "grumpy Andy Taylor" of the later color TAGS episodes, Griffith's "Joe" was genuine and (despite his eccentricities) endearing.
I feel that Andy fared much better with this role than the late (and sorely missed) Don Knotts did in "Pleasantville," where Knotts was reduced to a gimmicky and rather uncharacteristically foul-mouthed role. --Michael Eury _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://mail.wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
