Janet I haven't read the article yet but I am going to search for it too. I just wanted to share an experience with you about Jim Neighbors. My wife and I got to meet him one time in Branson, Mo. We live just a couple of hours away from Branson and we go 2-3 times a year. Anyway, we were lucky enough to get tickets to see him and I took along a TAGS book I had, hoping to get an autograpgh. After the show, (which was great by the way) I asked one of the ushers about the possibility of getting an autograph. She asked us to wait just a few minutes to let the crowd clear out. Sure enough, after a short time, she came got us and took us back stage to a small room and there was another couple there also. Jim came in and set down and talked with us for almost an hour. I was absolutely stunned from the very beginning. He was "nice, real nice". He asked us as many questions as we asked him. He acted like we were a long lost cousin or something and we were just catching up on old times. It was truly a thrill. Later on, on another trip to Branson, we went to an TAGS reunion. Afterwards, the cast members that were there, all set on the edge of the stage and signed autographs, posed for photos, and just visited a while. We were able to meet "Ernest T"., "Charlene and the boys", "Goober", and yes, even "Barney". I have pictures of them and myself together. It was truly a dream come true for me. This was about 17-18 years ago. All of the people I have met from TAGS seem just like ordinary folk. It really made you feel that you had been to Mayberry. Thanks for letting me go on and on about it. There's only one word I can think to describe it "BIG, REAL BIG"...
