Hello Friends, I had the pleasure of watching the first season of Adam 12 on dvd last weekend. Like TAGS, it was a show during my youth and not having seen it for a long time, it brought back a number of memories. How Barney would have appreciated the top notch law enforcement agency at its finest.....and the tear gas!
I also noted several Mayberrians who apparently had moved to LA or were out west visiting the big city.....among them: I see Miss Rosemary (Amzie Strickland) in an episode with a very different role.... as a lush! Brung out "the actress in the woman"! And who do you suppose gets pulled over for weaving down the road?....yes, Hal Smith, dressed and acting very much like Otis, arrested for DUI by the crime fighting duo of Pete Malloy and Jim Reed. The Otis like character did have a driver's license! Sorry to hear of the passing of Dabs Greer. He was terrific in TAGS and appeared in a number of other shows over the years. Loved his sort of nervous nature in the rolls he played. Anybody else think the "Diva Smackdown" promoted on TVLand last weekend was dumb? While I appreciated the episodes and don't mind The Jeffersons series, I thought the promos of the ladies smacking each other was dumb! Oh well.....Giraffes are so selfish....
