Back before TAGS was available on DVD, when I was trying to assemble
the entire TAGS catalog on VHS, I composed a frustrated email to
TVLand asking why they kept editing out some of the best parts of
TAGS (Andy and Barney harmonizing, Andy reading Barney's letters
home, etc).

I then suggested TVLand feature an "unedited Andy" weekend, where
they could run entire TAGS episodes in their entirety, unedited.

I ended my letter saying "this would be BIG, BIG!!!"

I got a nice, if somewhat defensive letter back, pointing out that
TVLand edits less material from their shows than other stations who
show TAGS.

The TVLand emailer then admonished me against using all caps in an
email.

:)

ah well, you can't win em all.

(Thankfully, the TAGS DVDs came out shortly thereafter, and I was
able to pitch my battered, tattered, painstakingly assembled TAGS VHS
tapes in the garbage.)
