I see a lot of folks wondering what to do with old TAGS VHS tapes. Let me
tell you what I did back in the Fall. After concluding that TAGS will
continue on DVD, I decided to make a donation of my old TAGS VHS tapes to
the local library. They just finished a new building and were in the
process of ramping up their collection of books, magazines, VHS tapes, DVDs,
etc. These items are put in their collection for others to check out, like
they would books. I believe the final count was 24 VHS tapes. Rather than
try selling the tapes, the contribution made for a very nice tax deduction,
and it made the library's shelves seem nice and full. Everybody gained.
And who knows; maybe that allowed someone to discover TAGS for the first
time. Plus I gave a cash donation of 3 cents!
