I went to a second hand store today and was thumbing thru the LPs and found a recording of Finian's Rainbow. I know, you wonder how that relates to Mayberry. Starring in the show were; Sorrell Brooke, aka Boss Hogg Jeanie Carson, aka fun Girl Howard Morris, aka Ernest T Bass, who sang the song he did at Col. Tim's Talent Time the last time he was at Mayberry Days...."When I'm not with the girl I love, I love the girl I'm with." I am thinking about putting this album in the Mayberry Days silent auction AFTER I tape the songs on it. The record was Copyright 1960 so it was done before Mayberry came into existence.
