this is not about Andy's grandkids as asked about in a recent digest but I just have to share this gem. A few weeks ago I had my grandkids Alex age 7 & Katelyn age 4 with me in the car and it just so happened Andy Griffith's CD was playing ... the one where he tells all the stories like What it was ... was football. Those kids were laughing so hard they loved it. I told there mom about it when we got to the restaurant. On Friday, Alex was at Karate and I watched Katelyn so mom and dad could go to Alex's class. When we got in the car to go to Dairy Queen she said, "Grandma put on that funny tape, please, please, please." I said, "Funny tape," and it took me a few minutes to figure out she met Andy Griffith. I must be related to Barney ... It started with the theme song and I started singing and she promptly let me know I needed to be quiet saying .... "No grandma .. I want to hear him sing." I was telling my son about it later ... for some reason he's not an Andy Fan but he should be I watched it sometimes 5 times a day when he was little (he's 26 now) and he said jokingly of course the kids weren't going to spend so much time with me. I guess my new motto will have to be ... "I will not sing! I will not sing! I will not sing!" _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://mail.wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
