Happened to think of another instance of a Mayberry character who appeared in another show, albeit a movie. Aunt Bee played a resident of a boarding house where Mr. Carpenter aka (Michael Remy) showed up in "The Day The Earth Stood Still" circa 1954. I believe that John Masters also stayed at the same house. He was seen smoking a cigarette with a cigarette holder. I kind of always thought that John Masters was a little alien like anyway.
