Many people talk about Andy changing in the color episodes. I even had this opinion. Recently I finished watching the three color seasons on DVD and I came to the realization that that idea was greatly exaggerated. Andy rarely got mad in the color seasons. As a matter of fact, Andy was more laid back and less involved in the color seasons than in the black and white ones. There were many more episodes that focused on Aunt Bee, Opie, Howard, and Goober. Also, having recently watched it, I can't think of a single time in the eighth season where Andy gets angry. So, I just thought I'd throw in my two cents on this idea that has become common among many fans and say that I don't think it's accurate. Yes, he got mad a few times, but it's not nearly as much as some fans seem to think it is.
