Viewing the TAGS closed captioning on your tv will only work if you have an analog cable between the dvd player and TV (coax, S-video, composite-red/white/yellow). If you are using a digital cable between the dvd player and TV (HDMI, DVI, component-red/green/blue), the captions will not work. I added a 2nd cable (S-video) from my dvd player to tv just for TAGS closed captions!
