My question about the flyin' quail reference has been answered! The common answer is the episode My Fair Ernest T, the line comes from a party at Mrs. Wiley's where the boys have taken Ernest T. Barney is not impressed with the girls and hence the line to the effect: "Nothin here but dogs, if you flew a quail through the room they'ld all turn and point." I know its a terribly politically incorrect, but that is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard. Thanks for the responses, it helped jog my memory immediately.
