Hi Steve, With me being in Kirksville, Missouri, we're practically neighbors,
so here's my neighborly advice. The very best color season is season seven.
Each of the three has some color gems, but seven catches Howard, Emmett, Floyd,
Goober, and the gang in full stride. Barney makes an appearance, and, of
course, this is Floyd's final season. Howard McNear's comedic brilliance, in
my opinion, is actually in fuller bloom in the color episodes than in the BW's.
Season six catches the show scrambling to regroup after Barney's departure and
Season eight is filled with reminders that things are winding down. So there
is my take from Missouri--where we're finally getting a full dose of winter.
