I've tried for years to get the postal service to issue a stamp honoring
Mayberry; even suggesting using the courthouse with just the word Mayberry
below it instead of one of the stars, who has to be deceased 10 years. For
some peculiar reason (I wonder what causes that?), they have declined to
acknowledge the goodness of our hometown.
