Yep, that was Elinor Donahue singing Away in a Manger. It was recorded in a studio and just lip synched during the scene. As I heard it, Andy said he had a hard time getting Elinor to sing and the song was actually recorded with them sitting on the floor of the studio.
The other thing I like at about that scene is how long it is.
