I was watching the Top Ten as voted by cast members last night and I think
for the first time I heard or paid attention to a line Andy used that caught my
attention, It was in Opie the Birdman episode and it just proved to me once
again how insightful our show actually was.
When Opie told his dad that he was sorry, Andy replied......Saying I`am sorry
isn`t the magic word that always works.....I cant tell you how many times I
have told
that to someone or heard it from someone that in my heart I knew it just did
not make
things right. Hearing that for the first time last night just struck a place in
my heart
that I had forgotten about......You know that place where we put things that
have
hurt us and after time forgot them and it takes just a thought or a few simple
words
and we are re-living the hurt all over again.
I know there were writers on the show but I know in my heart that this is truly
how Andy feels and how he lives his life.
All I`ve got to do is watch the joy my 12 year old son gets from show to know
that the show will always be timeless in it`s appeal and I believe with all my
heart
that TAGS has played a big role in how he views his self and
others................
Thank you Andy, Barney, Opie and all the cast members for bringing such a
loving and caring attitude to my son and all who enjoy the show
