First to my friend John Masters, may I ask if you specifically have a
special piece that you ordered all the way from New York City for me and the
girls
to sing? Not that me and Lydia and Viola Slatt are particularly good
singers, but we'll give it all we got. You know we will. Between Barney and
the
Untrained Voice, Mrs. Poultice's time is all taken up, but maybe Hazel could
work us in for a couple of practice sessions.
Laura Lee:

I've already talked to Hazel and she has agreed to work with the girls on
"Silver and Gold." She has an idea about changing the line, "Silver and gold
decorations on ev'ry Christmas tree" to "Silver and gold trucks in ev'ry
Christmas town" or something to that effect. Ya'll can work on it and we'll
see how
it goes.

If nothing else, it will be a great novelty song to break things up. I even
have Mary Scobey singing "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth."
Should be fun.

See everybody at rehearsal tonight.

John Masters
