Dear Mr. Masters, I'm responding to your request for a new tenor for the choir. I just recently moved into the old cabin out by Myers Lake after retiring from practicing "specialty" medicine just north of Richmond so I haven't had time to meet many folks yet. Anyway, back up in the Richmond area they used to say me and my two brothers used to "sing like birds." It just came natural to us from our daddy's side of the family as far as I know. I sing "high tenor" I believe. Some folks said it was kind of a "high lonesome tenor." Do you want me to come into town for an audition? Let me know. I'll probably spend a little time with my pitch pipe tuning up the old pipes this weekend. I can chord a little bit on the ukelele if needed, too.
