Hey Mary and all, We had those "window boxes" in our old schoolhouse windows (i went to a 2 room school). Those are to let in fresh air but they keep th papers are your desk, etc. from flying around in the breeze. Andy had enough trouble keeping Goober off his desk without papers flying around besides! hehhee Hope that helps cause I know it's been praying on your mind ( ;
