I just want to let everyone know that Ken Anderson’s book, “Mayberry Reflections”, is a wonderful book about the early years of the show. He presents each chapter not so much as a detailed accounting of each episode, but more of a “moral of the story” reflection on how the people of Mayberry treated each other with love and kindness. It’s not “preachy” but beautifully written from the heart. And furthermore, apparently everybody else feels the same as I do because it’s already being reprinted because it sold out almost before it was available, because of advance sales! Way to go, Ken—once again you have written a beautiful Mayberry story. (For those who don’t know it already, Ken regularly posts on the WBMUTBB digest.)
