Hi,

I'm new to the list and it looks like it's going to be alot of fun reading
all these great tidbits on Andy, Barney and all.

I've watched the Andy Griffith Show for years and still laugh at each
episode as if it were my first time watching it.

Does anyone know what manufacturer and pattern the dinnerware was in the
taylor home during the first two seasons ?

I know from watching that at the last episode of the second season they
introduced the blue willow pattern, I think made in Japan.

But the first two seasons were not blue willow but rather another outdoor
scene with trees and hillsides and maybe a flowery boarder. The best example
I can find is in season two, "aunt bee's brief encounter", after dinner aunt
bee stays in the living room to look at picture albums with the fix-it man
while Andy does the dishes in the kitchen. Also the same pattern is on the
creamer and sugar along with the teapot she keeps Opies nutrition money in
(Opie and the bully).

thanks for any help anyone can give.

sincerely,
John Sampson
