I was reading Mayberry after midnite column last nite when I noticed the Police Blotter section and thought I needed to pass along some of it, it seems Neil Bentley has been brought up on attempted fraud charges for his role his role in the Otis Campbell law suit against the county. Otis Campbell recieved immunity in exchange for testifying against Mr. Bentley. Also in an unrelated case Gomer Pyle was found guilty of identity theft and sentenced to a year in the county jail for his part in the Salve conspiracy case but the sentence would be suspended if he was to go into the Armed Service`s. Barney Fife was found Not Guilty of practicing medicine without a license but was ordered to pay for all the Salve and was fined 2 weeks pay and undisclosed administrative punishment .
