While having my morning coffee and paper I came across this news item that I had to pass along to the bulletin board. It appears that the U.S. Postal Service plans to eliminate its 23,000 vending machines by 2010. A postal spokeswoman references increasing maintenance and replacement costs as the reason to discontinue this service.
