>My favorite character actor of all time has to be Allen Melvin.... trying
>to remember just how many episode`s he was in, I count 7

This is exactly why we all need to take advantage of Allen Newsome's fine
site. Go to http://www.mayberry.com/ and click on Cast Member Data Base,
enter the name or the character and there you are! But it helps if you know
that THIS Allan is spelled with an A. He's in 8 episodes. Floyd is amased at
the things you don't know but just think now you can say "Funny, the things
you know." just by browsing the web site. Thanks, Allen!

And speaking of spelling - it's Aunt BeE, not Aunt BeA. You know, I before E
except after C and E before E in Aunt Bee. But it's not just some of us that
seem to assume Aunt Bee is Aunt Bea - they have T-shirts in the Oak Emporium
that have her name spelled Aunt Bea and a Mount Airy restaurant is named
Aunt Bea's but I don't think it was named after OUR Aunt Bee in particular.

......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's
an old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........
