I think Joe has a good point. We get so much fun out of guessing about Mr. Schwamp that knowing the facts would probably be a letdown! After all, Tom Jacobs was once a hot topic of discussion on the digest, but now that we know his real name and his connection as Danny Thomas's brother, how often do we talk about him? Very seldom! And probably because the mystery is gone. Why is Nice Dress Nellie generating some interest now? Because we don't know who she is nor anything about her. If we ever do find out who she is, our interest in her will likely wane. Deuteronomy 29:29 says, "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever...." Sometimes we just have to accept that not everything is revealed to us, and Mr. Schwamp's identity is probably one of those things! Long live the legend of Schwamp!!
