While watching Bonanza this afternoon, there was episode entitled "The Ballerina". I looked closer at the rich rather eccentric father of the title character and lo and behold it was Douglas Fowley. He was the hobo in "Opie and His Merry Men". He also played in Gomer Pyle, USMC as C. B. Sinclair in "Gomer and the Father Figure". Kinda different seeing him in nice clothes, hair cut and beard trimmed. I found this out from IMDB; a site with a wealth of knowledge and interesting tidbits. Apparently he's done a lot of other shows, especially Westerns.
