Hey thanks everybody, first of all. Thanks for the help with the explanation, the apology, the episode reference. I think we're all on the same page now with a Mayberry Amber Alert. Good comments, understandable mistake, issue quickly resolved and closed.
Back to Mr. Schwamp--the reason for the Number 2 Amber Alert...I just saw him again! These DVDs are wonderful. I just had a feeling that being the scene-maker that he is, he just would not pass up a chance to be there with the Governor. So I pulled out episode 172 "The Cannon"...and sure enough, there he was right in front of the Governor's car!! He got a good look at the Governor (and the Potato Queen in her bathing suit!!) riding in the convertible. Of course, like usual, he disappears at the end. He probably went over to sample the shrimp cocktail for Aunt Bee, and maybe wash it down with some Root Beer. Thanks for the tip on "The Rumor" from another Number 2 Amber Alert watcher out there!!
