Actor Glenn Ford has died. Ford starred with Ronny Howard in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" (1963) and with Frances Bavier and Howard McNear in "It Started with a Kiss" (1959). Though he never appeared on TAGS, his name figures prominently in the story line of "The Bank Job." Barney had recently seen a Glenn Ford film, which caused him to get extra-serious about his job as a lawman.
Andy's brain power is obviously a bit off in this episode. He says that on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the theater was showing Glenn Ford in "G-Men." Firstly, there is no such film, and secondly, if he has the dates right then the bank was open and he and Barney were in uniform and working on a Sunday morning.
