The other day I was listening to Andy's gospel album (CD) 'Somebody Bigger Than You And I' from 1972. This album is just a short year after the CBS rural slaughter of 1971. Andy and Barbara Griffith also divorced in 1972, which made me wonder when in 1972 did Andy record these gospel favorites. Was it before, during, or after the divorce? I would personally say that it was during the recording sessions. You figure the divorce was granted in 1972 meaning that there had to be a separation period first before the final divorce certificate. Ironically, the one TAGS episode that Barbara appeared on concerned gospel singing, 'Barney and the Choir.' Good Ole 14A!
