We could probably have a big debate about who's the biggest fan, but first
we'd have to define the rules. I think I have the definitive answer
although it can be a little fuzzy at time. How long does it take you to
identify an episode? Most of us can move pretty quickly when we walk by the
TV and there stands Ellen Brown. We just mutter "The Manicurist" and keep
walking.

I've found the real test is to pick up the episode from the start. Some are
rather obvious but it takes a true fan to be able pick up on the episode
opens with Andy and Barney doing some "business" in the courthouse. Usually
just some fun stuff about Juanita or Barney taking a nap or the Apricot
Queen or the Eubecker bothers. It usually has nothing to do with the true
story line. You can immediately pull up 5 or 6 episodes, but unless you're
really, really good, you're not sure you've got the right one until Aunt Bee
(or whoever it is) walks in and delivers a line that sets the true plot in
motion.
