I'm like several others, I think the black and white episodes are the best but
the color episodes are very much worth watching. If we didn't have the color
episodes we'd never have heard one of my favorite lines "besmerch the name of
Earp" or seen how blue Helen's eyes and how pink Aunt Bee's rose was. I also
like the episode with Dolly the horse. Goober holding that mirror up and
trying to get Dolly to believe it was another horse tickles me, and how Aunt
Bee could identify with working hard all your live. Here people are, concerned
with the welfare of a horse because they valued the things in their lives.
Just like good people, good TV comes in many shades.
