I wouldn't say that I prefer the color TAGS episodes over the black and white ones, but I have been watching them over the years, and I've been recently watching my season 6 dvds, and I do still enjoy these episodes. I think my favorite one is the spaghetti one, too. I also like the one where Howard goes to the Caribbean to live. That was just so out of character for him, and it was nice to see him taking a chance. Of course, he came back to Mayberry, but he did have an adventure. I know that TAGS can't be the same without Barney Fife in the episodes, and with Opie growing up, but I just see it as a progression, with people changing and growing.
