Howdy do to you and you, Some of our Mayberry family are aware of the the movie "A Tale About Bootlegging" and some are not. We are finally ready to screen it. It was filmed in the fall of 04 and there will be a FREE public screening (so we can get some feedback) this Sat. July 22 at the Whippoorwill Music Festival in Lake James, NC at 10:30 PM. It is a G-rated family comedy Starring Sonny Shroyer (better known as Enos on the Dukes of Hazzard) And our very own Mayberry Deputy David Browning plays, yep you guessed it a deputy, not Barney but just as inept. Robert D. Raeford (John Boy & Billy Big Show), Randy Jones (Cowboy from the Village People), Doug LLewellyn (Peoples Court) Barney Barnwell (Plumb Hollow Band) It is a warm comedy like they used to be with Mayberry influence. What kind of moonshine movie would you have without "Dooley" We don't know cause Dooley is in it. SOOO if anyone is in the Morganton, Marion area, come on out and see the movie before it is released.
