Maybe Opie didn't want the other boy to feel bad because Opie gave up the job that he really wanted because of him. If he had just handed it over to him he might have felt bad about it. I would feel bad if I knew someone else gave up a job for me because I was the poor one. I'd feel like maybe I shouldn't have taken it. Opie probably wanted him to feel like he got it fairly. Opie's such a thoughtful boy! Just a thought.
I'm interested in this "Evening Shade" show everyone's talking about. I've never heard of it. I hope I get to see it one day. That's the beauty of TV shows on DVD! Another show about a small town in Road to Avonlea. I love towns where everyone knows each other. It's like one big family. That's a great show with the same producer as Wind At My Back, I believe. Of course, they are not on the same level as TAGS, but still good shows. Sure wish they'd put more shows out like the old ones!!
