Dapper Dan had some wonderful comments on the early seasons of TAGS and the differences in the Taylor home and Courthouse. I too have been watching some of the early episodes on DVD and noticed many of the same things.....some I'd known for years, some like the double doors in the at Andy's, (to the left the fireplace), I don't think I'd ever seen.....or noticed anyway. I'm a newcomer to the bulletin board....since Don Knott's passing...so I'm sure much has been covered. I love seeing the DVDs with the missing scenes and clarity of the picture.....one can really study details. Now here is something I'm sure folks can answer....'specially you experts. Did the front porch on the Taylor home vary from time to time? Sometime it appears to have a centered entrance with steps.....sometime it seems only to have steps on the right side....(as you approach)....near the driveway side. Maybe it was both?
Another thing, Andy sure played the guitar a lot more often in the early years.....seems he was always pickin' and strummin' something if only for a moment or two. And one other thing.....I'm sure you experts will know. Were there two drug stores? I caught this one on the local station today....... During the Filling Station Robbery episode, Barney takes a picture from the secret camera triggered by the door......and he gets the film delivered at Miss or Mrs. Mason's Drug store.......where they did an enlargement just for ol Barn, knowing it was important police work. Did Walker's not have a photo department? Any other mentions of Mason's Drug Store? Gosh Pa, I just love this ol show!
