Gomer and Goober were cousins. Ellie Walker was Fred Walker's niece. The moonshine makin' ladies were sisters. We saw Howard Sprague and his mama on the show. Andy was related to Opie, Aunt Bee, and Barney. Off this topic, I saw Howard Sprague on Mama's Family the other day. He was Gus down at the bus station.
