Ken – what a nice post on “Going Home.” I too grew up in a small town,
Hendersonville, NC… Whenever I go back, I expect to see things with which I am
familiar. However, each visit seems to bring the news that one more piece of
what I remember is no longer there. This includes the people too. Watching
TAGS
for so many years allows me one place, albeit it for only half an hour at a
time, that things never change. I would suggest that people take time to
write old friends, or call them if they can not see them. Further, write that
teacher that you never told her/him you appreciated them so much…The mailman
who
delivered your mail for thirty years or the doctor that delivered three
generations of babies in your family….Please folks, take time to tell people
you
appreciate them before they are gone. Life seems so long at times, but then
in the blink of an eye it is gone. Never be too busy to let someone know you
care and to say thank you……
